Privacy Overview

What information does Squabble collect?

Squabble collects information to help make your Squabble experience not only possible, but great — whether that's connecting Squabbling Parties and CSMs, helping you get where you're going, improving safety, or keeping you in touch with us and others. This includes information you provide to us, like your account information, and information we collect when you use our services, like your location.

How does Squabble use my location information?

Squabble helps you get where you want to go. This means that location information is essential to our services. We use it to help Squabbling Parties and CSM-partners find each other, determine the best routes, enable users to track their progress and share ETAs with friends, develop new features and services, enhance safety and security, and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Does Squabble share my information with anyone?

Some of Squabble's products, services, and features involve sharing information with other users. For example, when you enter a dispute, the specifics are shared with a CSM. We may also share information at your request, or with our affiliates, subsidiaries, and business partners, or for legal reasons or in the event of a dispute.

Does Squabble rent or sell my information?

No. Squabble does not rent or sell your personal data to anyone.

How long does Squabble keep my information?

Squabble keeps your information as long as you have a Squabble account. You can request to delete your account or ask us to delete specific information. In some cases, Squabble may keep some information after you ask us to delete your account, including when we're required to by law, if there are outstanding issues related to your account, or if it's necessary for safety and security purposes.

How do I look up or control the information that Squabble collects about me?

Through our apps and websites, and the device settings on your phone, you can:

Look up your own Squabbling Party and CSM ratings
Set or change your privacy settings, including location, address book and calendar information
Opt-out of receiving promotional communications from Squabble
Delete your Squabble account

You can also contact us through the Help section in our mobile apps if you have additional questions or concerns.

How do I request a copy of my data?

You can request a copy of your data at info@squabbleapp.com. The process usually takes a couple of days.

Data Protection Officer

Squabble's DPO is responsible for guiding our compliance with privacy regulation in the EU. If you have questions about your personal data, you may contact our DPO by emailing info@squabbleapp.com.

1. Collection of Information

Squabble collects the following categories of personal information:

Identification information: first and last name, contact information including address, email address, and telephone number
Account information: account start and end date, registration IP address, status, rating, and payment method
Case and dispute information: all information submitted by you in connection with your legal dispute, including case facts, supporting documents, and communications
Device and usage information: device type, operating system, browser type, IP address, and information about how you interact with our Services
Location information: where relevant to the Services
Payment information: payment method details processed through our payment processors
Communications: customer service communications and messages between Squabbling Parties and CSMs

2. Use of Information

Squabble uses the information it collects for the following purposes:

To provide, maintain, and improve the Services
To process your dispute filing and service of process requests
To prepare Case Overviews and related documents
To communicate with you regarding your case, account, and the Services
To process payments and prevent fraud
To comply with legal obligations
To improve safety and security
To develop new features and services
To conduct analytics and research
To enforce our Terms of Use and other policies

3. Sharing of Information

Squabble may share your information in the following circumstances:

With CSMs and Third Party Providers in connection with your use of the Services
With Squabble subsidiaries and affiliated entities that provide services or conduct data processing on our behalf
With vendors, consultants, and service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf
With third-party AI service providers used to deliver AI Features, subject to the terms of Section 7 below
In response to a request for information by a competent authority if disclosure is required by applicable law or legal process
With law enforcement officials or government authorities if we believe your actions are inconsistent with our policies or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Squabble or others
In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, consolidation, restructuring, financing, or acquisition
In an aggregated and/or anonymized form which cannot reasonably be used to identify you

4. Data Retention

Squabble retains your personal information for as long as you maintain an active Squabble account or as necessary to provide you with the Services. Following account deletion, Squabble may retain certain information where required by law, where necessary for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, or where retention is otherwise authorized under applicable law. Case-related information may be retained for a longer period to the extent necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You may exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information, subject to applicable law:

Access: You may request a copy of the personal information Squabble holds about you by contacting info@squabbleapp.com.
Correction: You may update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings or by contacting us.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
Opt-out of marketing: You may opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time.
California Privacy Rights: California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Squabble does not sell personal information.
EU/EEA Rights: If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability, restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Squabble and its partners use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and similar tracking technologies on our websites, mobile applications, and communications for purposes including: authenticating users, remembering user preferences, determining the popularity of content, delivering and measuring advertising campaigns, and analyzing site traffic and trends.

You have the right to choose whether or not to accept cookies. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can choose to set your browser to remove or reject cookies. However, removing or rejecting cookies may affect the availability and functionality of the Services.

7. Artificial Intelligence and Your Data

Squabble uses artificial intelligence ("AI") tools and systems in connection with certain Services, including the preparation of Case Overviews, document drafting assistance, case analysis, and other platform features (collectively, "AI Features"). This section describes how your personal information and case data are handled in connection with AI Features.

7.1 What Data Is Processed by AI Systems

When you use AI Features, the following categories of information may be submitted to and processed by Squabble's AI systems or third-party AI service providers:

Case and dispute information you submit through the platform, including case facts, party names, case IDs, and supporting documentation
Your account information to the extent necessary to personalize or contextualize AI outputs
Communications and content you provide in connection with AI-assisted features

7.2 How Squabble Uses AI-Processed Data

Squabble processes your information through AI systems solely for the following purposes:

To generate Case Overviews, legal education materials, and document drafts in connection with your use of the Services
To improve the quality and accuracy of AI Feature outputs for your specific request
To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the AI Features over time

Squabble does not use your case information or personal data to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent. Squabble does not permit third-party AI providers to use your data for their own model training purposes.

7.3 Third-Party AI Providers

Squabble may engage third-party AI service providers (such as large language model providers) to power AI Features. These providers are:

Contractually bound to use your data solely for the purpose of delivering the AI Features on Squabble's behalf
Prohibited from using your data for their own independent purposes, including training their own AI models, unless expressly disclosed and consented to by you
Required to maintain security and confidentiality standards consistent with applicable law and Squabble's data protection requirements
Subject to data processing agreements that govern the handling of your personal information

Squabble will update this Privacy Policy if it engages new or different AI providers that materially affect how your data is handled.

7.4 No Guarantee of AI Confidentiality Beyond This Policy

While Squabble takes reasonable steps to protect the information you submit in connection with AI Features, you should be aware that AI systems are complex and evolving technologies. Squabble does not guarantee that AI-processed outputs will remain entirely confidential beyond the protections described in this Policy. You are encouraged to avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information — such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information — through AI Features unless expressly required for your legal matter.

7.5 AI and Legal Information — Not Legal Advice

Content generated by AI Features in connection with the Services is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Squabble strongly encourages users to consult with a licensed attorney before acting on any AI-generated content.

7.6 Your Choices Regarding AI Features

If you have questions or concerns about how your information is used in connection with AI Features, or if you wish to request that your information not be processed by AI systems to the extent technically feasible, you may contact us at info@squabbleapp.com. Please note that certain AI Features are integral to the delivery of the Services, and opting out of AI processing may affect the availability of certain features.

8. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Squabble may use automated processing, including AI-powered tools, in connection with certain Services such as Case Overview preparation and case analysis. Where such processing may produce outputs that have a meaningful effect on the Services provided to you, you have the following rights:

Right to information: You may request information about how automated processing was used in connection with your use of the Services by contacting info@squabbleapp.com.
Right to human review: Where technically feasible, you may request that a human reviewer assess any AI-generated output that you believe materially affects you.
Right to opt out of profiling: To the extent Squabble uses automated processing to profile users for purposes other than direct service delivery, you have the right to opt out of such profiling by contacting info@squabbleapp.com. Note that opting out of certain processing may affect the availability of AI-assisted features.

Squabble does not use automated systems to make final legal determinations on your behalf. All legal outcomes in your proceedings remain within the exclusive authority of the relevant court.

9. State-Specific Privacy Rights

As of the effective date of this Policy, residents of many U.S. states have rights under comprehensive consumer privacy laws. The following rights may apply to you depending on your state of residence, subject to applicable exemptions and limitations:

Right to know / access: You may request that Squabble disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information it has collected about you, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom it has been shared.
Right to delete: You may request deletion of personal information Squabble has collected about you, subject to legal exceptions.
Right to correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
Right to data portability: You may request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
Right to opt out of sale or sharing: Squabble does not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this practice changes, Squabble will provide notice and an opt-out mechanism.
Right to opt out of profiling: To the extent Squabble uses automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, you may have the right to opt out. See Section 8 above.
Right to non-discrimination: Squabble will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Residents of the following states may have additional or specific rights under applicable law: California (CPRA/CCPA, including rights related to automated decision-making technology under CPRA regulations effective 2026), Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MTCDPA), Indiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. To exercise any of your rights, please contact info@squabbleapp.com. Squabble will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where required, Squabble will verify your identity before processing your request.

10. Data Minimization and Purpose Limitation

Squabble collects and processes personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to deliver the Services and to fulfill its legal obligations. Squabble does not collect personal information beyond what is necessary for the purposes disclosed in this Privacy Policy. Where Squabble seeks to use your personal information for a new purpose materially different from the purpose for which it was originally collected, Squabble will provide notice and, where required by applicable law, seek your consent before doing so.

11. Security Incidents and Breach Notification

In the event of a security incident involving unauthorized access to, acquisition of, or disclosure of your personal information, Squabble will notify you and applicable regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable law. Squabble maintains a written incident response plan designed to detect, contain, and remediate security incidents in a timely manner. Notifications will be provided through the contact information associated with your account or, where required by law, through other means. You agree to maintain accurate contact information in your account to ensure timely receipt of any required notifications.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a Do Not Track (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to DNT signals, Squabble does not currently respond to DNT signals. Squabble will continue to monitor developments in this area and update this Policy if its practices change.

13. Biometric Data

Squabble does not intentionally collect biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under applicable law, including fingerprints, voiceprints, retina or iris scans, or face geometry. If Squabble introduces any feature that involves the collection of biometric data in the future, it will provide separate notice and obtain any required consent prior to such collection.

14. Security

Squabble takes reasonable and appropriate technical, organizational, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and Squabble cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

15. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 18, and Squabble does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Squabble, please contact us at info@squabbleapp.com and we will take steps to delete such information.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Squabble may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. We will post any changes to this page and update the effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.

17. Candidate Privacy

Squabble collects personal information about you when you or third-parties acting on your behalf apply or search for a position with Squabble. Candidate information is used solely for evaluating applications, communicating regarding the interview process, and improving our recruitment process. Candidate information is not used to train AI models and is not shared with third parties except as necessary to conduct background checks or as required by law.

18. Cookie Policy

Squabble and its affiliates use cookies and related technologies for purposes including authenticating users, remembering preferences, determining content popularity, and measuring advertising effectiveness. 19. Law Enforcement and Legal Requests

Squabble will respond to law enforcement requests for user information in accordance with applicable law and our Guidelines for Law Enforcement Authorities. We will notify users of law enforcement requests for their information before disclosure whenever possible, with exceptions for emergencies, exigent circumstances, or where prohibited by law or court order. All requests must be submitted through the Law Enforcement Portal at https://lert.squabbleapp.com or by mail to our registered agent.
